Complain Detail:-> This is to bring to your kind attention that the undersigned had received a telephonic call from a person named Mr. Prakash Rao (Mobile No. 7065374389) identifying himself as a representative of M/s. The Career Naukri, a job search portal on 21, Feb, 2019 and informed that they will assist the undersigned in finding suitable job for the undersigned and indicated that the fee is around Rs.2700. Since I was contemplating for shifting my job, I agreed for the same after initial reluctance, since the person was assuring of good service. I agreed to the offer of making payment of Rs. 2,700 through credit card of HDFC Bank on 23/02/2019. After Two days i.e., on 27/02/2019, I again got a call from the same person who informed that I need to assist their team to prepare a Profile and the cost for the same was Rs. 10,000. and Rs. 12,000. I informed the person that the same was not informed to me earlier. However, based on the assurance from him I made the payment for Rs. 10,000 and Rs.12,000 and Rs. 13,000 for various profiles on their website www.thecareernaukri.com. This was done through another person named Ms. Pooja (Mob. No. 7838194478). Somehow during the process, I was apprehensive of the process being followed in filling up on the website. Immediately, I told them that I was not happy with their dealing and hence requested that the payment I had made, be refunded, for which they agreed. They told me to visit their website namely www.thecareernaukri.com and asked me to follow the payment procedure once again, so that the repayment process is made, But this time, instead of repayment, a payment of Rs. 13,000 was once again made from my credit card. After the payment was made I was unable to contact them over the phone on 1 March, 2019, since both the mobile Nos were switched off. Hence I wrote an email to the following address provided in their website namely, firstname.lastname@example.org,email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org. I informed them that I will be taking legal action against them in the email. However, there was no response to the email. But on a different date i.e., on 4 March, 2019 they were trying to contact me, for which I could not answer and hence I contacted them the next day i.e., 5 March, 2019. They responded to my call. I informed them that since I was not satisfied with their service, I wanted the refund of my fees paid to them. In response, they told me to visit their website namely www.thecareernaukri.com and asked me to follow the payment procedure once again, so that the repayment process is made. But on carrying the instructions, I felt that I was following the payment procedure and there was no scope for repayment. Hence, I declined to follow their instructions and told them that I will not follow their instructions and told them to make repayment to my Bank account. They told that the procedure available with them is only through web portal which in my opinion is not possible. However, based on my insistence, they have informed that they will do the needful to make the repayment to my Bank Account. However, again I tried calling them on 11/03/2019, one of the phones is switched off and the other is not answering. I have a fear that the company M/s. The Career Naukri is having a malicious intention of cheating the undersigned and is in the process of making fraud in relation to providing jobs. As a precautionary measure I have been writing emails to the company email address, though there has been no response in terms of my emails.
