Cyber fraud complaint
Complain Detail:-> On 5th April 2018, a trade was placed on my account (City index London uk) a sell Position for 70.75 on the US Crude Oil May 2018 spread at an entry price of 6308. This trade then closed at 15.59 on the 4th April as the result of a margin closeout resulting in losses of £3466,75. I have not placed this trade. My dad is the authorized user on my account so he operates the account. My dad was in India when the above happened. My dad has been operating my account for many years which city index have records of. The trade was never placed by my dad. City index London uk are claiming that the trade came from /linked to the ip address 220.127.116.11 which they believe to be associated with me. My dad spoke with the broadband provider in India who confirmed that the trade did not come from his ip address. The details were sent to city index confirming this but city index are still not agreeing. All the information that has been provided by You Broadband (the broadband provider) has been sent to city index. My dad went to you broadband offices several times who confirmed that the trade was not placed on his computer. I have made a few minor errors in the past which city index are now using as an example and saying that as a mistake has been previously, it has been done this time. But this account has been regularly funded. This type of trade would never be carried out, which would result in this major a loss which city index are aware of. To have city index put my account back into its normal position. I want my account to be put right by city index taking into consideration all the market movement which has commenced since the day this occurred.
